Small-scale Silage Making  
The project was started in November 2002 by Land O' Lakes in partnership with the Kenya Agricultural Research Institute (KARI),the Ministry of Agriculture and Egerton University.

It is testing and promoting silage making technologies for smallholder dairy farmers in Nakuru and Kiambu Districts, Kenya.

This project aims at assisting small scale dairy farmers achieve an even supply of milk throughout the year by mitigating the effects of dry season shortage of fodder. It is a project whose technology has generated tremendous excitement and interest among stakeholders in the smallholder dairy sub-sector, with demand for it coming even from non-target districts.
